Brian McArdle & Wry Toast: Music

I've Been Down This Road

(Tom Delaney & Luke Liddy)
A fine tune written by Wry Toast lead guitarist/mandolin player, Tom Delaney and original Wry Toast drummer, Luke Liddy.

Tom provides the lead vocal, acoustic guitar and mandolin for the song. Luke handles the backing vocals while the legendary Rusty Young of Poco plays the dobro. (Yes, it really is Rusty Young.) The song was recorded at GSS Studios with our friend Gary Georgett recording and mixing the track.

Wry Toast will be adding this song to the repertoire in the near future. Enjoy!
I'VE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE

I’ve been down this road before
I should know my way by now
I’ve been down this road before
But I still get lost somehow

Winter comes and winter goes
I’ve walked through the old man’s door
Winter comes and winter goes
Each one’s colder than before

Chorus
Well I’ve been down this road before
At least a thousand times
These days I see all these things
I don’t recognize

Well I’ve been down this road before
Lost some things along the line
I’ve been down this road before
Stolen by the hands of time

Chorus
